Spend lazy days on or around the lake, there’s boating and games on the games lawn including table tennis, boule and badminton, or picnic in the wild flower meadow, there’s a fire pit where stargazers can enjoy an evening barbecue. 

Lower Buttercombe Farm is ideally placed for visiting the many beaches and coastal towns, as well as easy access to Exmoor National Park. The Tarka trail is a few minutes away for cyclists, with its miles of car free cycling.

The Crown Inn gastro pub is one mile away and Woolacombe and Ilfracombe boasts many great restaurants including Thomas Carrs Michelin Star “The Olive Room”, Damian Hirst’s “Quay Restaurant” and for something different, enjoy a spectacular sunset and a Sri Lankan curry at Woolacombe’s Barricane beach.
